Jesus, Character and Academics
"We’ve Come This Far By Faith"
Our Philosophy
We have been developing children in faith, character, academics and service since 1983. In that, we believe the highest achievement for our students is to discover and understand God’s plan and purpose for their lives. Parents have been given the Godly duty to prepare their children to live Godly lives. Therefore, we come together with our parents to aid them in every phase of their child’s development. Our academy is unique in that we focus on the purpose, strengths and abilities of our students with God’s Word being our guide and standard. We daily strive to transform the lives of our students by training in Christian leadership, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity, and good citizenship. We stand without apology for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the highest standards of morality and Christ-like behavior.
Since the primary reason for the existence of JCA is to develop Godly character, evangelistic efforts are made to bring all students to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ so that the teaching of spiritual truths may have a firm foundation. This is followed by instruction in right thinking, good conduct, and clean living in the light of the principles of God’s Word.
Academically, we provide students with the best possible program of studies. We emphasize the mastery of basic skills through rote learning as well as extensive critical and analytical thinking skills. We have designed academic programs that incorporate hands-on learning and real-life acclimation projects. Our charge is not only to develop high performing students, but also to develop life-long learners. We foster an atmosphere where every student is allowed to ask questions and learn at his or her ability level, which allows us to not only educate students, but also to build character and discipline.
In building character, we believe that the heart of character training is obedience (doing what is right based upon the Word of God). Obedience cultivates an inner self-discipline, and is essential to the spiritual, emotional, physical, and social well being of the student. We are a disciplinary academy who administers discipline firmly but fairly. Obedience, a love for God and country, and maintaining an attitude measured against the principles laid out in the Word of God are characteristics we strive to instill in each student, therefore equipping him or her for God’s plan and for his or her place in society.
